Photosynthesis is my debut solo exhibition with Piero Atchugarry Gallery in Miami.

The work centers on the small, fleeting moments that make up an ordinary day: a ray of light on a glossy surface, a burst of color glimpsed inside a wardrobe, the ordinary routines of the day, and the way sustained attention can transform them into something worth looking at twice. Like the process the show is named for, these paintings are about absorption and conversion: observed light becoming color, a passing sensation held still long enough to become image.
