Things the Tide Choose Not to Take is an exhibition presented by Shanghai-based Gallery Vacancy at the Art-O-Rama art fair, bringing together Anna Gonzalez Noguchi, Kristian Touborg, and me. The show explores resilient forms of memory, personal histories, and the lingering traces of care held within everyday objects — the small ways cultural identities persist and endure. My paintings sit within this through quiet, intimate scenes of solitary women, where the body becomes a vessel for memory, carrying traces of habit and care that surface only in unguarded moments.
